You wake on Sunday.

Thunder is roaring in the background now with frequent lightning strikes. The rain pours heavily down onto the resort, which is starting to look worse for wear. And yet, the spirits come in irregular bursts.

Sunday, as promised, is also Hild's execution. While you normally don't get to view those, the movie theater seems to be on again at exactly 9:00AM,, a few hours later, just like yesterday. And sure enough, you get a good view of everything: Hild, the Manager, and the rest behind them. And they are all at a site that executions normally aren't at, for those who've seen them.

They're near a well -- the one that Lucas and Zena have talked about before.

The spirits that were plaguing you earlier were around in larger quantities earlier this morning, nuisances to be shoved aside in your pursuit of figuring things out with the shard. Wherever it is, it seems to continue its pulsing, almost like a siren's call to the desperate ones that seem to be vying after it.

But now, they're starting to appear less and less. A sign that something's going to happen soon. For a few moments, you get to spectate what's going on in the living.

[ "Ow" is right. Because when it starts to charge out of the room, The Master may get a good look at its face which strangely resembles MAIK's.

(Please don't worship this thing, too.)

But it sure is running in and out of the other rooms, digging through what it can in search of something?

And one more thing -- where is the shard? ]

[ with Kaeya! As always. ]

[ Good. Because that feeling of possessiveness returns for the shard specifically, but it feels off, like whoever's trying to get a hold of this can't exactly get a grip on it.

It is also shaking violently. It is no longer pulsing; it's just a steady, purple glow.

Someone is siphoning energy from it, but the feeling of its power kind of going all over the place is potent. ]

[ well. spirit of many faces is probably their best bet for the moment.

and so without much of a word to the others, he's going after the spirit? ]

[ Iria's a normie, but wow that almost feels oppressing. Despite that, she runs after Kaeya too. She can't let anyone go alone at this point. ]

[ Naturally, he's following too, with his honking posse close behind. ]

[ The spirit is digging through Tsumugi's room at the moment, and all of the portraits that were once on her wall are gone. It is groaning in pain from the cuts on it too, pausing intermittently to wheeze, but it doesn't seem like that's where the power's being siphoned from.

In fact, if Kaeya and Iria look up, they'll see that the ceiling is kind of starting to be peeled away. That rift that was once there on Wednesday -- when Gentaro was relaying his message to the living -- is back. It's glowing the same color as the shard, and through whatever's been peeled back, there's a small light coming down from it. A dim, gray light, along with the sound of rain.

But you can choose to go after this thing, too, because it's starting to turn towards you all again. This time, it's wearing Tsumugi's face, with the intent to attack, based on how it bares its...huge teeth underneath her face and snarls at them, getting ready to charge. ]

[circuitice]

[ hey.

has anyone seen tsumugi?

anyway, Kaeya's not scared of some teeth, and still rushes forward to attack the spirit, drawing the knife up and across towards its face ]

[kinakos]

[ Hey guys what's going o-- ]

AAAH?!

[ JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE FUCK??? ]

[ Congratulations on cutting Tsumugi's (not actual) face!!! It leaves a crack in it, and it shrieks in pain again, falling onto all fours. It's still standing and it's panting heavily, but it lunges at Kaeya with the intent to c h o m p . ]

[catarou]

[ Gentaro is absolutely here to back Kaeya up, so he goes for a Stab right at it's throat (?????). ]

[circuitice]

[ chomp away, it's only managing a couple of scratches before kaeya weaves out of the way.

how's that portal working out for everyone? ]

[mayoiga]

[ WELL, since these two are going after this thing, they do manage hits on its massive body but it only seems to be, like, partly weakened. It roars in pain once more before it moves back to retaliate.

Its face suddenly turns to Zena's, and it goes for a huge swing at Gentaro. ]

[catarou]

[ Gentaro dodges out of the way, luckily! He might be inexperienced with traditional combat, but he's been in plenty of rap battles. ]

Attempting to throw us off, hm? How pathetic.

[ He goes in for another stab, this time at its side. ]

[circuitice]

Hasn't that been the plan the whole time?

[ what if he tries to cut the faces... off? ]

[ Somehow, this thing manages to swiftly swerve out of the way just in before Gentaro can get a stab in, and it changes its face to Momo for a split second before it gets attacked by Kaeya.

He sure can cut the face off!!!

And it sure does let out a wild, monstrous shriek as Momo's mask drops onto the ground. It goes on its hind legs and puts its hands over that area as it cries out.

The rift is also starting to get lower and lower to the ground. ]

[ Meanwhile, when the Master catches up, Iria eyes the portal. She can hear the rain, so it probably leads to the outside? Whatever it is, she grabs the Master by the sides and tries to throw him into the portal. ]

Tell us what you find or I'll make you regret it even more, Master Jim!!

STOP CALLING ME THAT!!

[ i will leave it up to fate whether he actually goes into the portal or not lmao ]

[ After they make it into the portal, Iria tries to yell: ]

[ The Master sure does, because she'll hear his voice very clearly echo down there -- ]

[ Surprise! In addition to this, there's another familiar voice. It's Yuki's! ]

Iria? You’re down there too?

Despite not having heard a real answer from the Master, hearing Yuki's voice just about confirms it. ]

Kaeya! Mr. Yumeno! The portal is the way out to the living world! We can go back!!

[ And to the portal: ]
